Hey Human

Featuring the voices of children from Marazion School and Stoke Climsland School and written by Tanya Brittain, Hey Human is one of the songs selected by Cornwall Music Education Hub to form part of Cornwall Council's offer for the G7.

It explores climate change from the perspective of Corwall’s marine wildlife, birds and land animals.

The G7 Summit brings together prime ministers and presidents from the G7 countries in Carbis Bay in Cornwall to discuss problems facing the world – including economic issues, health emergencies and the climate crisis.

Led by Angela Renshaw, Cornwall Music Education Hub’s Vocal Strategy Lead, the 7 Songs for G7 project showcases seven diverse, home-grown songs, composed by well-known Cornish songwriters and young people from the region and offers an opportunity for Cornwall's Primary, Secondary, SEN schools and Home Educated students to come together as one voice against climate change.

Cornwall Council has declared a Climate Emergency. Cornwall’s elected councillors have accepted evidence that carbon emissions at the current rate will irreversibly damage the planet. They want to see Cornwall as part of the solution and not part of the problem in limiting the impact of human activity on the environment.
