I’ve written three books, including one totally in Kernewek - the Cornish language.

Cornish by Design is a compilation of bi-lingual articles written in English and Cornish language, for lifestyle and culture magazine Cornwall Today. A light-hearted introduction to Cornish language and to everyday life in Cornwall.

Exploring what makes Cornwall different and how language plays an intrinsic part of Cornish culture, Cornish by Design is the perfect read for anyone with a passion for culture and heritage, or those intrigued by Cornwall as a nation. If you fancy learning a few Cornish phrases to use on social media, inside greetings cards, or in day to day life – this is the book for you.

Genev Dons is a collection of Cornish language song lyrics and poems and Gwrello Glaw is a compilation of song lyrics in Cornish and English.

Extract from Cornish by Design “It’s hard to believe, but not everyone who ended up in Cornwall actually wanted to be there. Next time you’re staring out of the window of a packed train winding its way from Paddington to Penzance, or crawling along the A30 in a hot car, spare a thought for those early travellers to the Cornish coast. Shipwreck victims, asylum seekers and prisoners. All those explorers and invaders, traders and merchants, farmers and fishermen, pilgrims and missionaries who made epic journeys by sea and on foot. Why did they come? What did they find? A matter of survival for many, those settlers created new communities, introduced different cultures and made Cornwall what it is today an extraordinary place ‘to the West’ where the land ends, the sun sets and the magic happens.”
